I am a Certified IMAGO Therapist with Masters degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Jewish Studies. A graduate of Harvard University, I am also a life-long musician with a passion for finding creative ways of working with people on the issues that really matter to them. I have a deep passion for helping couples stay, heal, grow and mature in their relationships. This passion has at its roots my own experiences finding healing and a more authentic, grounded, joyful self through my marriage to my wife Paula.
I believe that couples are seeking a “home” within their relationship, a place in which they both feel safe, respected, loved, supported, and trusted. This “home” is a place of intimacy and fun in which both partners truly know they are each other’s priority. Martin Buber wrote that our relationships live not in one person or the other, but in the space between, which is sacred.
My work with couples encourages them to understand conflict as an invitation to heal and grow rather than a signal to give up. I stand in the fire with them, holding the certainty that, once they shift their way of dealing with conflict and create a safe and trusting home for each other in their relationship, they will thrive and grow.
